CNC Milling

OEP Machining's CNC milling department includes several vertical machining centers.  

Parts machined on these mills typically include manifolds, enclosures, blocks, and any generally rectangular part that couldn't be efficiently produced by turning, as well as forgings and castings that require post-casting machining of threads and ports.

Materials milled include brass, aluminum, stainless steel, bronze, and plastics.  Quantities range from just a few pieces to thousands of pieces, as some of our mills include pallet changers that allow the operator to chuck parts into the fixture while the machine actually mills another part, making this process very competitive in large quantities.  Several examples of parts produced by milling can be seen at our Image Gallery.

Some of OEP's VMCs include a 4th axis attachment, allowing us to machine several faces of a part in one chucking, improving accuracy of relative location of features.
